Σύνταγμα της Βόρειας Μακεδονίας

Το Σύνταγμα της Δημοκρατίας της Βόρειας Μακεδονίας αποτελεί την ανώτατη νομοθεσία της Βόρειας Μακεδονίας και περιγράφει το σύστημα διακυβέρνησης της χώρας και τα βασικά ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα.[1] Στο παρόν σύνταγμα, που ισχύει από το 2001, κατοχυρώνονται 15 βασικά δικαιώματα, καθώς και ελευθερίες για τη σημαντική αλβανική μειονότητα, βάσει της Συμφωνίας της Οχρίδας.[2][3]

Οι θεμελιώδεις αξίες του συντάγματος είναι:[4]

  1. Οι βασικές ατομικές ελευθερίες και δικαιώματα, που αναγνωρίζονται από το διεθνές δίκαιο και που προβλέπονται στο Σύνταγμα
  2. Η ελεύθερη έκφραση της εθνικής ταυτότητας
  3. Η επιβολή του νόμου
  4. Η κατανομή των κρατικών εξουσιών σε νομοθετική, εκτελεστική και δικαστική
  5. Ο πολιτικός πλουραλισμός και οι ελεύθερες, άμεσες και δημοκρατικές εκλογές
  6. Η νομική προστασία της ιδιοκτησίας
  7. Η ελευθερία της αγοράς και της επιχειρηματικότητας
  8. Ο ανθρωπισμός, η κοινωνική δικαιοσύνη και η αλληλεγγύη
  9. Η τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση
  10. Ο κατάλληλος αστικός και αγροτικός σχεδιασμός για την προώθηση ενός άνετου ανθρώπινου περιβάλλοντος, καθώς και η οικολογική προστασία και ανάπτυξη
  11. Η τήρηση των γενικά αποδεκτών κανόνων του διεθνούς δικαίου.
