Η στήλη των εξόριστων που φιλοξενείται στο μουσείο του Λούβρου με τον αριθμό C 256 είναι αρχαιολογικό εύρημα από την Αίγυπτο. Ανακαλύφθηκε το 1860 από τον Ανρί Μονίρ, Γάλλο αντιπρέσβη στο Λούξορ, και μεταφέρθηκε το 1884 στο Παρίσι.[1]

Περιγραφή

Η στήλη είναι από σκούρο γρανίτη. Φέρει αιγυπτιακά ιερογλυφικά. Το κείμενο είναι μια διαταγή αμνηστίας του αρχιερέα του Άμωνα Μεχεπέρρε. Το επάνω μέρος της στήλης φέρει σημαντικές φθορές, ενώ της λείπει ένα μεγάλο τμήμα. Το τμήμα που σώζεται εικονίζει τον ιερέα του Αμώνα σε στάση προσευχής προς τον θεό. Το κάτω μέρος που είναι μεγαλύτερο σώζεται ολόκληρο. Το κείμενο είναι γραμμένο σε 23 σειρές, από τις οποίες οι πρώτες τέσσερις έχουν φθαρεί. [1]

Ιστορική τοποθέτηση

Είναι έργο της 21ης δυναστείας, όταν ο Φαραώ κυβερνούσε από την Τάνις, ενώ οι Θήβες ήταν σχεδόν αυτόνομες με τοπικό άρχοντα τον αρχιερέα του Άμωνα. Το έτος 25 της κυβέρνησης του Ψουσέννη Α’ ξέσπασε επανάσταση εναντίον του ιερές Μασαχάρτα. Ο Μενχεπέρρε, αδελφός και διάδοχος του Μασαχάρτα κατέπνιξε την επανάσταση, μπήκε ως νικητής στις Θήβες και στέφθηκε διάδοχος του πατέρα του από τον θεό Άμωνα. Λίγο αργότερα ένας χρησμός μαντείου του ιερού του Άμωνα ζήτησε να επιτραπή στους εξόριστων να επιστρέψουν από την όαση Χάργκα ξανά στις Θήβες.[1] Η στήλη αναφέρει τις εξής χρονολογίες:

  • 25ο έτος της βασιλείας του Σμένδη, Γ’ Σχήμου 29: Χρησμός
  • 25ο έτος, Α’ Αχέτ 4: Είσοδος του Μενχεπέρρε στις Θήβες
  • Έτος 1 (της βασιλείας του Αμενεμνεσούτ ή του Ψουσέννη Α’): Αμνηστία των εξόριστων[2]
