Η Μορέλος (ισπανικά: Morelos, επίσημα: Estado Libre y Soberano de Morelos) είναι μία από τις 31 πολιτείες του Μεξικού. Διαιρείται σε 33 δήμους και πρωτεύουσα και μεγαλύτερη πόλη είναι η Κουερναβάκα. Η πολιτεία έχει 1.777.227 κατοίκους σύμφωνα με την απογραφή του 2010 (23η μεγαλύτερη). Η μικρή έκταση της πολιτείας σημαίνει ότι είναι η δεύτερη πιο πυκνοκατοικημένη στο Μεξικό, μετά την Πολιτεία του Μεξικού.

Η Μορέλος έχει έκταση 4.879 χλμ² και είναι η δεύτερη μικρότερη πολιτεία του Μεξικού, μεγαλύτερη μόνο από την Τλαξκάλα. Η πολιτεία ήταν μέρος της Πολιτείας του Μεξικού μέχρι το 1869, όταν τις διαχώρισε ο Μπενίτο Χουάρες. Στα βόρεια συνορεύει με την Πόλη του Μεξικού και την Πολιτεία του Μεξικού, στα δυτικά με την πολιτεία του Μεξικού, στα νότια από το Γκερρέρο και στα ανατολικά από την Πουέμπλα.

Οι βιομηχανίες επεξεργασίας πετρελαίου, άνθρακα, πλαστικών και ελαστικών αποτελούν τη σημαντικότερη πηγή εσόδων στην πολιτεία[2]. Το ήπιο κλίμα της πολιτείας είναι καλό για την καλλιέργεια ζαχαροκάλαμων και οπωροφόρων δέντρων. Μια σημαντική πηγή εσόδων για την πολιτεία είναι και ο τουρισμός, χάρη στο δροσερό κλίμα της, στην ύπαρξη ιαματικών πηγών και στη γραφικότητα των τοπικών θρησκευτικών εορτασμών, στους οποίους επικρατούν έθιμα που έχουν τις ρίζες τους στις προκολομβιανές παραδόσεις.[3]
