Ο Ενιπέας ή Βαρνίχιος ή Λεστινίτσα ή Άβουρας είναι ποταμός της Ηλείας ένας από τους μεγάλους και κυριότερους[1] παραποτάμους του Αλφειού. Βρίσκεται στα δυτικά του νομού και έχει πολλούς παραποτάμους, ρέματα και χειμάρρους, όπως ο Ομπλός, ο Αλήσιος κ.α.

Έχει τις πηγές του, γνωστές με το όνομα Άβρα, στην Φολόη κοντά στο χωριό Νεράιδα σε υψόμετρο 350 περίπου μέτρα[2]. Το όνομα το οφείλει στην ελληνική μυθολογία και στον Ενιπέα που τον αγάπησε η Τυρώ, κόρη του βασιλιά της Ήλιδας Σαλμωνέα αλλά αυτός δεν την ήθελε. Τότε ο Ποσειδώνας με την μορφή του Ενιπέα αποπλάνησε την Τυρώ[3]. Σύμφωνα με τοπικούς θρύλους, ο Ενιπέας εμφανίζεται ακόμη και σήμερα και λούζει τα μαλλιά του στις όχθες του ποταμού.

Λίγο μετά την αρχαία Ολυμπία συναντά τον Αλφειό.
