Ελεύθερη χιονοδρομία στους Χειμερινούς Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες 2014

Το ελεύθερο σκι στους Χειμερινούς Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του 2014 έγινε στο πάρκο Ρόζα Χούτορ κοντά στην Κρασνάγια Πολιάνα του Σότσι, στη Ρωσία. Συνολικά 10 αγωνίσματα διεξήχθησαν στις 6–21 Φεβρουαρίου 2014.[1]

Τον Απρίλιο του 2011 η Διεθνής Ολυμπιακή Επιτροπή ενέκρινε την προσθήκη του αγωνίσματος του halfpipe για άντρες και γυναίκες.[2] Τον Ιούλιο του 2011 προστέθηκε και το slopestyle στο πρόγραμμα.[3]

Πρόκριση

Μία Ολυμπιακή Επιτροπή μπορεί να συμμετάσχει με μέχρι και 26 αθλητές, με το μέγιστο αριθμό αντρών τους 14 και γυναικών τις 14. Οι 5 αγώνες καθορίζονται από διαφορετικές ποσοστώσεις.[5]

Συμμετοχές

Έλαβαν μέρος συνολικά 277 αθλητές από 30 χώρες, με τον αριθμό των αθλητών σε παρένθεση. Για πρώτη φορά πήραν μέρος οι Βραζιλία, Βρετανικές Παρθένες Νήσοι και η Χιλή, όπως και η Παραγουάη.[6]
