Ο Άγιος Απόστολος[1][2] ή Άγιοι Απόστολοι[3][4] είναι μικρός οικισμός δίπλα και νοτιοανατολικά του Κάνδανου και βόρεια της Χρυσοπηγής, στην Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Χανίων της Κρήτης, ο οποίος βρίσκεται σε υψόμετρο 480 μέτρα[1]. Απέχει περίπου 16 χλμ. Β.-ΒΑ. από την Παλαιοχώρα (έδρα δήμου) και 56 χλμ. ΝΔ. από τα Χανιά. Αναφέρεται ως ξεχωριστός οικισμός, για πρώτη φορά, με την ονομασία Κουφαλωτός το 1940 να προσαρτάται στην τότε κοινότητα Καντάνου. Το 1957 με το ΦΕΚ 11Α - 24/01/1957 μετονομάστηκε σε Άγιος Απόστολος.[5] Σύμφωνα με το σχέδιο Καλλικράτης ανήκει στην κοινότητα Κανδάνου που υπάγεται στον Δήμο Καντάνου - Σελίνου και σύμφωνα την απογραφή του 2011 έχει ως πληθυσμό 21 κατοίκους[4] ενώ το 1991 είχε 52[1].
