Die Standseilbahn Mühlenkopfschanze ist eine Standseilbahn in der Gemeinde Willingen (Upland) im Ortsteil Stryck bei der Mühlenkopfschanze. Sie wurde in den Jahren 2000[1]/2001[2] zusammen mit dem Umbau der Mühlenkopfschanze errichtet.

Beschreibung

Die Standseilbahn führt parallel zur Mühlenkopfschanze aus dem Strycktal den Mühlenkopf hoch.

Bei der Bahn handelt es sich um einen Schrägaufzug mit Trommelantrieb. Auf einer schrägen Länge[1] von 310 Metern wird eine Höhendifferenz von 123 Metern überwunden. Das Gleis hat eine Neigung von 20° bis 33° und besteht aus Schienen des Profils HEB mit einer Spurweite von 1000 Millimetern. Die Geschwindigkeit beträgt 2 Meter pro Sekunde. Die Kabine fasst bis zu 20 Personen. Pro Richtung können 171 Personen pro Stunde befördert werden.[2]

Betrieb

Die Bahn ist ganzjährig[2] dienstags bis sonntags tagsüber in Betrieb.[3] Sie wird für den Aufstieg der Skispringer sowie für den Materialtransport für die Springer und die Gastronomie benutzt. Zudem befördert sie Besucher des Skywalks Willingen[4] und der Schanze.[2]

Der Betrieb wird ohne Personal mit einer Aufzugsteuerung vollautomatisch durchgeführt.[2]
