Die Rue Bruant ist eine Einbahnstraße im 13. Arrondissement von Paris.
Lage
Die Straße führt im rechten Winkel vom Boulevard Vincent Auriol zur Rue Jenner.
Namensursprung
Der Name ist eine Hommage an Libéral Bruand, genannt „Bruant“, einen Architekten des klassizistischen Barocks.
Geschichte
Diese Straße, die Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts eröffnet wurde, ist eine alte Straße im ehemaligen Village d’Austerlitz, im Gebiet der ehemaligen Steinbrüche im 13. Arrondissement.
Die Nordseite der Straße folgt der ehemaligen Mauer der Generalpächter, deren Überreste entlang des Geländes des Hôpital de la Salpêtrière erhalten geblieben sind.[2]
