Quadratus

Quadratus (auf Personen bezogen etwa „dick“ oder „untersetzt“[1]) war ein römisches Cognomen. Es war insbesondere in der Familie der Ummidier verbreitet (stirps der Ummidii Quadrati). Es fand ab dem 1. Jahrhundert Verbreitung[2] und war ein üblicher Sklavenname.[3]
