Nationalliga A (Schach) 2016

Die Nationalliga A 2016 war die höchste Spielklasse der Schweizerischen Mannschaftsmeisterschaft 2016. Meister wurde die Schachgesellschaft Zürich, während sich der Titelverteidiger Club d’Echecs de Genève mit dem fünften Platz begnügen musste. Aus der Nationalliga B waren im Vorjahr der SC Bodan und der SK Solothurn aufgestiegen. Während der SC Bodan den Klassenerhalt erreichte, musste Solothurn zusammen mit dem Echallens Chess Club direkt wieder absteigen.

Spieltermine

Die Wettkämpfe fanden statt am 20. März, 17. April, 22. Mai, 11. und 12. Juni, 27. und 28. August sowie 8. und 9. Oktober[1], wobei ein Wettkampf der sechsten Runde wegen der Überschneidung mit der Jugendeuropameisterschaft auf den 18. September verlegt wurde[2]. Die beiden letzten Runden wurden zentral in Carouge gespielt[2], die übrigen Wettkämpfe fanden dezentral bei den beteiligten Vereinen statt.
