Nankanga ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Sumbawanga in der tansanischen Region Rukwa.

Geografie

Nankanga ist ein ländlicher Bezirk im Westen des südlichen Hochlands von Tansania, er liegt etwa 60 Kilometer Luftlinie südöstlich der Regionshauptstadt Sumbawanga am Rukwasee.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 16.487 Menschen in 3605 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 82 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Norden an den Rukwasee und sonst an drei Bezirke des Distrikts Sumbawanga:[5]

Bildung

Die Nankanga Secondary School ist eine private weiterführende Schule, die Tagesschüler bis zur 4. Stufe ausbildet.[7] Im Jahr 2019 besuchten 46 Burschen und 43 Mädchen diese Schule.[8]
