NGC 5886 ist eine Elliptische Galaxie vom Hubble-Typ E im Sternbild Bärenhüter am Nordsternhimmel. Sie ist schätzungsweise 378 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt und hat einen Durchmesser von etwa 110.000 Lichtjahren. Vom Sonnensystem aus entfernt sich die Galaxie mit einer errechneten Radialgeschwindigkeit von näherungsweise 8.300 Kilometern pro Sekunde.

Gemeinsam mit NGC 5888 bildet sie ein gravitativ gebundenes Galaxienpaar.

Das Objekt wurde am 13. Mai 1828 vom britischen Astronomen John Herschel entdeckt.[4]
