Mickey Callisto
Mickey Callisto ist ein britischer Singer-Songwriter. Bekannt wurde er vor allem durch seine Teilnahme an der Castingshow Britain’s Got Talent im Jahr 2025 sowie durch seine Mitwirkung an einem Bohemian-Rhapsody-Flashmob in Paris, dessen Video sich viral verbreitete.[1][2]
Karriere
Callisto begann seine musikalische Laufbahn in der unabhängigen britischen Live-Szene.[3]
Britain’s Got Talent (2025)
Im Jahr 2025 trat Callisto bei Britain’s Got Talent auf und interpretierte den Queen-Titel Who Wants to Live Forever.[4] Er erhielt vier Zusagen der Jury und schaffte es bis ins Halbfinale.[5] Berichte zogen Parallelen zu Freddie Mercury und hoben neben dem Bühnenauftreten besonders Callistos Stimmfärbung hervor.[1]
Bohemian-Rhapsody-Flashmob in Paris (2025)
Internationale Aufmerksamkeit erhielt Callisto im September 2025 durch seine Mitwirkung an einem groß angelegten Bohemian Rhapsody-Flashmob von Julien Cohen in Paris. Das Video erzielte hohe Reichweiten und wurde von mehreren Medien aufgegriffen.[2][6][7]
Zusammenarbeit mit Alex Christensen (2025)
Seit 2025 wirkt Callisto als Gastmusiker bei Alex Christensen & The Berlin Orchestra mit. Im Zuge des Albums Classical Dance – Simply the Best war er an den Coverversionen zu Don’t Stop Believin’, The Best und Who Wants to Live Forever beteiligt.
Stil
Callistos Musik verbindet Synthiepop, Disco-Elemente und Glamrock-Elemente. Berichte zogen Parallelen zu Freddie Mercury und hoben neben dem Bühnenauftreten besonders die ähnelnde Stimmfärbung hervor.[1]
