Land- und Stadtgericht Rastenburg

Das Land- und Stadtgericht Rastenburg war von 1823 bis 1849 ein preußisches Land- und Stadtgericht mit Sitz in Rastenburg.

Geschichte

Das Land- und Stadtgericht Rastenburg wurde 1823 aus dem Stadtgericht Rastenburg und Teilen des Justizamts Rastenburg gebildet.[1] Es war ein Gericht 2. Klasse im Sprengel des Oberlandesgerichts Königsberg.

1837 umfasste der Gerichtsbezirk die Stadt Rastenburg mit 3786 Gerichtseingesessenen und 71 Ortschaften mit 8805 Gerichtseingesessenen (zusammen also 12.591 Gerichtseingesessene). Am Gericht waren ein Stadt- und Landrichter, ein Assessor und fünf weitere Mitarbeiter beschäftigt.[2]

Nach der Märzrevolution wurden 1849 einheitlich Kreisgerichte gebildet. In Rastenburg entstand die Gerichtsdeputation Rastenburg des Kreisgerichts Rössel.
