Kenneth George Binmore, CBE (meist nur „Ken“ genannt) (* 27. September 1940 in London) ist ein britischer Mathematiker, Spieltheoretiker und Hochschullehrer.^[1]

Kenneth Binmore studierte Mathematik am Imperial College London. Dort erwarb er 1962 den Bachelorgrad und promovierte anschließend zum Ph.D. Von 1965 bis 1969 unterrichtete er Mathematik am Royal Holloway College der University of London. Bis 1990 war er Hochschullehrer (zuletzt Professor) für Mathematik, später Wirtschaftswissenschaft an der London School of Economics and Political Science. Zwischen 1988 und 1993 hatte er außerdem eine Professur an der University of Michigan inne. Von 1991 bis zu seiner Emeritierung 2002 lehrte er Wirtschaftswissenschaft am University College London. Gastprofessuren hatte er an mehreren Universitäten in den USA inne. Seit seiner Emeritierung lehrte er als Gastprofessor an der University of Bristol (ab 2001), der London School of Economics and Political Science (seit 2007, für Philosophie) und der University of Warwick (ab 2017). Er war Direktor des ESRC Centre for Economic Learning and Social Evolution.

Ken Binmore ist ein führender Vertreter der Spieltheorie bzw. der Verhandlungstheorie (bargaining theory). Er beschäftigte sich auch mit der Theorie der Gerechtigkeit und der Sozialtheorie. Er gehört zahlreichen wissenschaftlichen Fachgesellschaften an. 1995 wurde er in die British Academy^[2] und 2002 in die American Academy of Arts and Sciences^[3] berufen. Im Jahre 2001 wurde ihm der Order of the British Empire (Commander) verliehen.^[4]
