In dieser Kategorie werden nur Leute aufgeführt, in deren Biografie die methodistische Kirche eine wesentliche Rolle spielt. Das muss auch im Artikel selbst aufgeführt sein.
Ein spezieller methodistischer Punkt ist die Funktion „Laienprediger“: Dafür wird eine mehrjährige berufsbegleitende Ausbildung benötigt. Laienprediger werden von der übergeordneten Konferenz gewählt, gehören dann in jedem Fall zur Gemeindeleitung ihrer Gemeinde, und können auch selbständig eine Gemeinde leiten. Wenn jemand Laienprediger ist, kann man auf ein auch für eine Freikirche überdurchschnittliches kirchliches Engagement schließen.
Nur Angehöriger einer methodistischen Kirche oder in einer methodistischen Familie aufgewachsen zu sein genügt nicht.
