Kanyenye ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Tabora (MC) in der tansanischen Region Tabora.

Geografie

Kanyenye ist ein städtischer Bezirk im westlichen Teil des zentralen Hochlands von Tansania. Er umfasst das südöstliche Zentrum der Regionshauptstadt Tabora und liegt südlich der Ujiji Road.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 11.218 Menschen in 2435 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 1,7 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt an fünf Bezirke des Distrikts Tabora (MC):[5]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Die Mihayo Secondary School ist eine von der katholischen Kirche geführte weiterführende Privatschule. Sie bildet Tages- und Internatsschüler bis zur 4. Stufe aus.[7]
  • Gesundheit: Im Bezirk gibt es zwei öffentliche[8][9] und eine private Apotheke.[10]
