Jerry Elmer Winholtz (* 5. August 1874 in Mount Pleasant, Iowa; † 16. Juni 1962) war ein US-amerikanischer Ringer.
Leben
Jerry Winholtz nahm als Mitglied des Chicago Central YMCA an den Olympischen Spielen 1904 in St. Louis teil. Hier trat er im Leicht- und Weltergewicht des Freistilringens an.
Im Leichtgewicht schied Winholtz bereits im Achtelfinale nach einer Punktniederlage gegen Fred Huseman aus dem Wettbewerb aus. Auch in seinem ersten Kampf im Weltergewicht unterlag er Charles Erickson nach Punkten, erhielt aber aufgrund einer damals geltenden Regelung, nachdem derjenige, der in seinem ersten Vorrundenkampf gegen den späteren Goldmedaillengewinner verloren hatte, automatisch die Bronzemedaille.
Winholtz war in der Forstwirtschaft tätig und gehörte der Bruderschaft der Holzfäller an, genannt International Concatenated Order of Hoo-Hoo.
