Jeremy Hahn
Jeremy Hahn ist ein Mathematiker, der über algebraische Topologie arbeitet.
Hahn studierte am Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) und promovierte 2018 an der Harvard University. Danach kehrte er an das MIT zurück, wo er seit 2025 Professor ist. Zwischenzeitlich war er von Januar bis Juni 2025 Professor an der Universität Cambridge.
Er arbeitet über algebraische Topologie und Homotopietheorie, insbesondere über strukturierte Ringspektren. Seine Arbeiten behandeln chromatische Homotopietheorie, die Klassifikation hochdimensionaler Mannigfaltigkeiten und algebraische K-Theorie. Er fand einen neuen Beweis der Segal-Vermutung und bewies die reelle Orientierbarkeit von Lubin-Tate-Spektren.
2026 wurde er mit dem Clay Research Award ausgezeichnet.[1]
