Jens Timmermann (* 1. Mai 1970) ist ein deutscher Philosoph und Professor für Moralphilosophie an der University of St Andrews. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Kants Ethik, politische Philosophie und Rechtsphilosophie.

Timmermann studierte an der Universität Göttingen und am Balliol College in Oxford. 1998 promovierte er unter der Betreuung von Günther Patzig und Konrad Cramer mit einer Arbeit zum Thema Sittengesetz und Freiheit: Untersuchungen zu Immanuel Kants Theorie des freien Willens. Er war Junior Research Fellow am Keble College in Oxford, bevor er im Jahr 2000 Dozent an der Universität St Andrews wurde. Im Jahr 2015 wurde er zum Lehrstuhlinhaber für Moralphilosophie an der Universität St Andrews ernannt und 2023 zum Mitglied der Academia Europaea gewählt. Timmermann ist Übersetzer und Herausgeber zahlreicher Werke Kants, darunter die Neuedition der Kritik der praktischen Vernunft in der Akademie-Ausgabe.
