James Edward Staley

James Edward („Jes“) Staley (* 27. Dezember 1956) ist ein amerikanischer Bankmanager.
Nach 34 Jahren bei der Investmentbank J.P. Morgan wechselte Staley 2013 zu BlueMountain Capital. In Dezember 2015 wurde er CEO bei Barclays. Im November 2021 trat Staley zurück im Zusammenhang mit seiner Beziehung zum Financier und Sexualstraftäter Jeffrey Epstein. 2022 fror Barclays Bonuszahlungen im Wert von 22 Millionen Pfund ein, solange die Ermittlungen der FCA und PRA gegen Staley noch andauerten.[1]
Der Miami Herald veröffentlichte 2026 Ermittlungsberichte, wonach Staley der Vergewaltigung beschuldigt wurde.[2]
