Ipwaga ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Mpanda in der tansanischen Region Katavi.

Geografie

Ipwaga ist ein Landbezirk im südlichen Hochland von Tansania, der nordwestlich der Regionshauptstadt Mpanda liegt. Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 15.090 Menschen in 2567 Haushalten[2] auf einer Fläche von 300 Quadratkilometern.[3]

Der Bezirk grenzt an drei Bezirke des Distrikts Mpanda:[4]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt eine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk. Die Mazwe Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule.[6]
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: In der Gemeinde Ipwaga liegt eine staatliche Ambulanz.[7]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 3505 Gebäuden im Bezirk hat keines einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 1939 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 599 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[8]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 345 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 237 Geschäftslokale, gehören 55 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 21 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, 17 Bürogebäude, 13 Lagerhäuser, 7 Gästehäuser und 2 Gewerbebetriebe (Stand 2022).[9]
