Die Norm ISO 13854 ist eine sicherheitsspezifische Norm. Sie ist als EN ISO 13854 im Amtsblatt der EU unterhalb der Maschinenrichtlinie gelistet.[1] Daher geht von ihr die Vermutungswirkung bei der Konformitätsbewertung von Maschinen aus.
Einordnung
Die ISO 13854 ist eine internationale Norm zur Maschinensicherheit, die Mindestabstände zur Vermeidung des Quetschens von Körperteilen festlegt. Sie richtet sich insbesondere an Konstrukteure, Hersteller sowie an Personen, die Risikobeurteilungen durchführen. Die Norm legt Anforderungen an Abstände zwischen beweglichen Teilen von Maschinen untereinander sowie zwischen beweglichen und festen Teilen fest. ISO 13854 definiert konkrete Mindestabstände, die verhindern sollen, dass Körperteile wie Finger, Hände, Arme, Füße oder der gesamte Körper in gefährliche Bereiche geraten. Die festgelegten Werte basieren auf anthropometrischen Daten und berücksichtigen unterschiedliche Zugangssituationen.
Die Norm dient als Hilfsmittel für die konstruktive Umsetzung von Sicherheitsanforderungen im Maschinenbau.
