Highdee Kuan

Highdee Kuan (* 3. Mai 1998 in San Francisco) ist eine US-amerikanisch-niederländische Schauspielerin.

Leben

Kuan wurde in San Francisco geboren. Sie wuchs später in den Niederlanden auf[1] und absolvierte dort eine Ausbildung im Ballett am Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag.[2] Mit sechzehn Jahren kehrte sie nach Kalifornien zurück, um Theater und bildende Kunst an der University of California zu studieren. Außerdem ist sie die Enkelin des Schriftstellers Yu-chien Kuan.

Ihr Debüt gab sie 2016 im Kurzfilm Run for the Truth. Anschließend trat sie jeweils in einer Folge von Schatten der Leidenschaft, Vida, You – Du wirst mich lieben und This Is Us – Das ist Leben auf.[3] Bekanntheit erlangte sie 2024 vor allem durch ihre Hauptrolle in The Brothers Sun.[4] 2026 wird sie in Brothers in der Hauptrolle zu sehen sein.[5]

Unter anderem spricht sie fließend Englisch, Niederländisch und Mandarin.[6]
