Frederick Ferguson
Frederick Charles Ferguson (* 18. Januar 1884 in Toronto; † 22. Dezember 1954 in Chicago) war ein kanadisch-US-amerikanischer Ringer.
Leben
Frederick Ferguson wurde in Kanada geboren. Mutmaßlich besaß er 1904 noch die kanadische Staatsbürgerschaft, als er – für den Chicago Central YMCA ringend – an den Olympischen Spielen in St. Louis teilnahm und dort im Freistilringen im Bantam- und im Federgewicht antrat.
Im Bantamgewicht schied er nach einer Schulterniederlage gegen Milton Whitehurst im Viertelfinale aus. Nach einem Freilos im Achtelfinale war Ferguson im Viertelfinale der Federgewichtsklasse seinem Landsmann und späteren Goldmedaillengewinner Benjamin Bradshaw ebenfalls durch eine Schulterniederlage unterlegen, wodurch beide Wettbewerbe für ihn frühzeitig beendet waren.
