Erp von Meyendorf (gestorben um 1000) korrespondiert nicht unbedingt mit der Geschichte von Meyendorf:

In einer Schenkungsurkunde, die vermutlich aus dem Jahr 1192 stammt (genau lässt sich das heute nicht mehr sagen), wurde Gut Meyendorf zum ersten Mal erwähnt. Damals befand sich das Landgut im Besitz des Erzbischofs von Magdeburg, der eine adelige Familie mit den Ländereien belehnte.
