Dermot Honan
Dermot Patrick „Derry“ Honan (* März 1909 im County Clare; † 20. Juli 1986) war ein irischer Geschäftsmann und Politiker der Fianna Fáil. Er war von Juni 1965 bis Juni 1973 Mitglied des Seanad Éireann, des Oberhauses des irischen Parlaments (Oireachtas).
Biografie
Honan war Wein- und Spirituosenhändler. Er wurde bei den Wahlen 1965 über die Industrie- und Gewerbeliste in den 11. Seanad Éireann gewählt und konnte seinen Sitz bei den Wahlen 1969 verteidigen. Erst bei den Wahlen 1973 verlor er seinen Sitz wieder.
Schon Honans Vater Thomas Vincent Honan (1878–1954) war Senator gewesen. Er heiratete 1960 Tras Barlow (1930–2023), die ihm 1977 in den Seanad Éireann folgte und mit der er zwei Kinder hatte.
