David Anthony Collard (* 1937 in Tiverton/Devon) ist ein britischer Wirtschaftswissenschaftler und Hochschullehrer.^[1]

David A. Collard studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaft an der University of Cambridge. 1960 legte er seine Bachelor- und 1962 die Magisterprüfung ab. Von 1960 bis 1964 war er als Dozent am University College Cardiff tätig und bis 1978 an der University of Bristol. Im Jahre 1978 übernahm er eine Professur an der University of Bath. In der Zeit von 1990 bis 1993 war er Pro-Vizekanzler dieser Universität.

Collard veröffentlicht vor allem zur Geschichte der Wirtschaftstheorie und beschäftigt sich vor allem mit dem Werk des in Cambridge wirkenden Ökonomen Arthur Cecil Pigou, dessen Schriften er herausgab.
