Damien Thomas
Damien Roy Charles Noel Court-Thomas (* 11. April 1942 in Ismailia, Ägypten; † 18. April 2025 in Salisbury, England)[1] war ein britischer Theater- und Filmschauspieler.
Leben
Thomas absolvierte seine Ausbildung an der Royal Academy of Dramatic Art und war ab Ende der 1960er-Jahre in zahlreichen britischen Produktionen zu sehen. Seine international bekannteste Rolle spielte er 1980 als Jesuitenpater Martin Alvito in der Fernseh-Miniserie Shōgun an der Seite von Richard Chamberlain und Toshirō Mifune. Neben seiner Arbeit für das Fernsehen war er regelmäßig in internationalen Abenteuer-, Historien- und Horrorfilmen als Charakterdarsteller besetzt.[2] Sein Schaffen für Film und Fernsehen umfasst mehr als 70 Produktionen, zuletzt war er 2021 in einer Miniserie zu sehen.
