Claes Fellbom

Claes Göran Fellbom (* 29. Januar 1943 in Solna/Stockholms län; † 19. April 2024 in Djurhamn (Gemeinde Värmdö)/Stockholms län) war ein schwedischer Filmregisseur, Filmeditor, Drehbuchautor, Komponist, Librettist und Opernregisseur.

Wirken

Fellbom gründete mit der Dirigentin Kerstin Nerbe 1976 die Folkoperan, die er 36 Jahre lang leitete. Er inszenierte zahlreiche Produktionen der Folkoperan, darunter Aida, Turandot, Die Zauberflöte, Hoffmanns Erzählungen und Otello, von denen einige als Gastspiele im Ausland aufgeführt wurden. 2007 wurde Fellbom zum Professor für Bühnenbild an der Opernhochschule Stockholm ernannt. Noch im Frühjahr 2023 inszenierte er Giuseppe Verdis „Aida“ an der Wermland Opera. Er verfasste die Libretti für neun Opern, darunter Marie Antoinette (1998) und Svall (2005) für Daniel Börtz, Oedipus von Qu Xiaosong und Jeppe – den grymma komedin für Sven-David Sandström,
