August von Kalckstein
August von Kalckstein (* um 1750; † 6. Januar 1802) war ein preußischer Landrat und Landesdirektor.
Herkunft
August von Kalckstein war der Sohn von George von Kalckstein († 1770), Erbherr auf Klonowken im Kreis Preußisch Stargard und Landrichter von Marienburg. Seine Mutter war Johanna (* um 1710), geb. von Kuberska.
Leben
Um 1782 wurde von Kalckstein Kreisdeputierter und 1789 erwarb er das Gut Kleczewo im Kreis Marienburg in Westpreußen. Nach dem Tod von Dietrich von Ahlefeldt übernahm er im Oktober 1789 interimistisch dessen Posten als Landrat des Kreises Marienburg. Am 26. Mai 1792 absolvierte er erfolgreich im Beisein des Ministers von Werder das mündliche Examen. Nachfolgend wurde er am 7. Juni 1792 offiziell zum Landrat bestallt. Seit 1798 zusätzlich als Landesdirektor amtierend, verstarb von Kalckstein im Januar 1802. Ihm im Amt als Landrat folgte Anton von Donimirski.
