Arnaud Prost (geb. 6. November 1992 in Marseille)[1] ist ein französischer Rüstungsingenieur und Reserveastronaut der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation (ESA).
Leben und Ausbildung
Prost absolvierte eine Ausbildung an der École polytechnique und arbeitete für die Compagnie maritime d'expertises an der Entwicklung eines Trainings-Raumanzugs. Ab 2020 war er im Testzentrum für Rafale-Kampflugzeuge in Istres tätig, wo er sich mit Mensch-Maschine-Schnittstellen und Einsätzen in großer Flughöhe befasste. Seit 2023 ist er Pilot und Kommandant der E-3F AWACS für die 36e escadre de commandement et de conduite aéroportés der Französischen Luft- und Weltraumstreitkräfte.
Im November 2022 wählte die ESA Prost als Reserveastronaut aus. 2024 and 2025 absolvierte er das geologische ESA-Trainingsprogramm PANGAEA für die Erkundung von Mond und Mars. Im Mai 2026 schloss er sein Reserve-Astronautentraining (ART) ab.
