Ann Leonard

Ann Leonard (* 2. Januar 1969 im County Monaghan, Irland) ist eine irische Politikerin der Fianna Fáil. Von September 1997 bis September 2002 war sie Mitglied des Seanad Éireann, des Oberhauses des irischen Parlaments (Oireachtas).

Leben

Ann Leonard arbeitete als Hebamme und Kinderkrankenpflegerin. Als ihr Vater Jimmy Leonard sich aus der Politik zurückzog, kandidierte sie für die Fianna Fáil bei den Wahlen zum Dáil Éireann 1997 im Wahlkreis Cavan–Monaghan, erreichte jedoch nicht genügend Stimmen, um in den Dáil einzuziehen. Sie wurde dann von Taoiseach Bertie Ahern zum 21. Seanad 1997 nominiert. 1999 wurde sie zudem in den Monaghan County Council gewählt.[1] 2002 schied sie aus dem Seanad Éireann, 2004 aus dem Monaghan County Council aus.

Ann Leonard ist mit Ted Ryan verheiratet.
