Tirfeddiannwr a dyddiadurwr o'r Brynddu, Llanfechell, Ynys Môn, oedd William Bulkeley (4 Tachwedd 1691 – Hydref 1760). Roedd yn aelod o deulu uchelwrol a dylanwadol y Bwcleiaid. Cadwyd dau o'i ddyddiaduron, un o 30 Mawrth 1734 hyd 8 Mehefin 1743, ac un arall o 1 Awst 1747 hyd 28 Medi 1760. Maent yn llawn o wybodaeth am Fôn, yn enwedig cwmwd Talybolion: materion o ddydd i ddydd y teulu, arferion cymdeithasol a'r eglwys. Llawn o ragfarnau rhyfedd hefyd; Ceir beirniadaeth lem ar bregethau rheithor Llanfechell er bod hwnnw'n dipyn o lenor ac yn perthyn yn weddol agos i Bulkeley ac yn sgweier yn ei hawl ei hun; ceir hefyd geiriau dirmygus o Walpole a'r Whigiaid.

Yn ôl Thomas Richards (1878-1962): dyn 'piwus, direidus, llawn pryfoclyd oedd Bulkeley: annhebyg fod iddo ddim cydymdeimlad a'r Methodistiaid, a gellir meddwl amdano yn cael llawer o hwyl am ben ysweiniaid a chlerigwyr drwy gogio bod yn Fethodus. Rhoddodd loches i William Prichard yr Annibynnwr ar ran o'i ystad, nid am ei fod yn credu yn yr egwyddorion y safai Prichard drostynt, ond er mwyn pryfocio is-iarll Baron Hill a Troughton o Fodlew a oedd wedi troi William Prichard allan o'u ffermydd.'

Dywedir ei fod yn dipyn o Gymro; ac roedd yn ddrwg ganddo weld ei ferch Mary yn priodi 'Philistiad o Sais' o'r enw Fortunatus Wright, bragwr o Lerpwl. Cangen Brynddu oedd y fwyaf annibynnol ei hysbryd a gododd o foncyff Baron Hill. Bwcle oedd William Bulkeley serch hynny; pan ddaeth angladd y 5ed is-iarll ym Mawrth 1739 roedd yn un o'r cyntaf i gael ei wahodd yno.

Claddwyd ef ar 28 Hydref 1760.
