Brwydr ar y môr rhwng Llynges Frenhinol y Deyrnas Unedig[5] a llyngesau cynghreiriol Ffrainc a Sbaen oedd Brwydr Trafalgar a ymladdwyd ar 21 Hydref 1805 yn ystod Rhyfel y Drydydd Cynghrair o Rhyfeloedd Napoleon (1803-1815).

Fel rhan o gynllun Napoleon i lansio goresgyniad llyngesol o Brydain, roedd llyngesau Ffrainc a Sbaen wedi uno i geisio cael rheolaeth o'r Môr Udd felly gall y Grande Armée croesi i'r ynys. Gadawodd y llynges gynghreiriol o Borthladd Cádiz ar 18 Hydref 1805. Cafodd llynges Is-iarll Nelson ei greu yn ddiweddar i wrthod y bygythiad yma yn y Cefnfor Iwerydd.

Marwolaeth Nelson gan Benjamin West

Arweiniodd Nelson ei lynges ar HMS Victory. Yn ystod y frwydr cafodd Nelson ei saethu gan fysgedwr Ffrengig, a bu farw ychydig cyn i'r frwydr gorffen.

Roedd buddugoliaeth Prydain yn y frwydr wedi cadarnhau ei rheolaeth bron yn gyfan gwbl yn forol am y ganrif nesaf.
