Štěpán Horváth (* 20. prosince 1982 Chomutov) je český profesionální boxer česko–romského původu[2] a mistr Evropy v super welterové váze.

Životopis

Boxovat začal ve svých 12 letech. Své mládí prožil v mužské reprezentaci v Ústí nad Labem. Jako junior dvakrát zvítězil na Mistrovství České republiky juniorů v boxu, byl účastníkem Mistrovství světa v boxu v Budapešti a zvítězil několik mezinárodních turnajů. V kategorii seniorů se stal pětinásobným mistrem České republiky. Získal několik medailí na mezinárodních turnajích v Ústí nad Labem, ve Varšavě či v chorvatské Pule. Na Mistrovství Evropy obsadil 5. místo. Je dvojnásobným účastníkem mistrovství světa a účastníkem kvalifikačních turnajů na olympijské hry v Athénách (2004) a Pekingu (2008). Po tříleté pauze, v roce 2011 vstoupil mezi profesionální boxery, kde se jeho vedení ujal manažer a bývalý boxer Lukáš Konečný. Během půl roku získal po desetikolovém duelu pás Mistra České republiky. V roce 2013 a 2014 v zahraničí prohrál 4 zápasy ve vyšších vahách a tak se rozhodoval zda neukončit kariéru. V roce 2015 obhájil pás Mistra České republiky a po roce vybudoval se svým týmem Qwert Boxing stáj. Dne 3. května získal pás WBO mistra Evropy nad italským boxerem Davidem Doriou. Tento titul ještě dvakrát obhájil, poprvé 25. června 2016 v zápase s maďarským boxerem Ferencem Hafnerem a podruhé 11. března 2017 v zápase s Arthurem Hermannem.

Vystudoval Univerzitu Jana Evangelisty Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem. Dne 1. října 2017 požádal o ruku svojí o 12 let mladší přítelkyni Lucii Sedláčkovou, která je mistryní světa v ženském boxu. Nyní je jejím osobním trenérem.
