Muhàmmad ibn Llop ibn Mussa (àrab: محمد بن لب بن موسى, Muhammad b. Lubb b. Mūsà) (? - afores de Saragossa, 898), fou el senyor de les ciutats musulmanes de Saragossa i Lleida.[1][2]

Muhàmmad era fill de Llop ibn Mussa (i per tant net del cèlebre Mussa ibn Mussa, de la important família musulmana Banu Qassi d'origen visigòtic.

Va tenir almenys sis fills:

Biografia

Quan el seu pare i oncles es revoltaren contra l'emir Muhàmmad I de Còrdova, Muhàmmad ibn Llop va fer costat al poder central liderant l'exèrcit que va derrotar el seu propi tiet Ismaïl ibn Mussa.[1][2]

El 882 havia conquerit Saragossa a on pretenia establir-se independentment,[1][2] però la pressió militar constant dels tugibites el va fer optar per vendre la ciutat a l'emir cap al 885.[1][2] Hom ha suposat que Ramon II de Pallars era el seu cunyat, ja que va actuar d'intermediari en aquesta venda.[2]

Després de més baralles familiars i amb l'ascens al tron emiral d'Abd-Al·lah, el pacte amb el nou emir va convertir Muhàmmad ibn Llop en el nou valí de Lleida (en contra de les pretensions que hi tenia el valí d'Osca Muhàmmad al-Tawil).[1][2] Però ell va cedir-ne el govern efectiu al seu fill Llop.[1][2]

El 897 va conquerir Toledo.[2]

El 898 iniciava una nova campanya per recuperar Saragossa, però va morir durant el setge[1] sorprès per un soldat enemic mentre descansava, el 8 d'octubre.[4]
