Primjer transrepressijeje je sposobnost glukokortikoidnog receptora koji inhibira početak transkripcijske aktivnosti transkripcijskog faktora AP-1 i NF-kB faktora transkripcije.[ 1] [ 2] In addition to transactivation , transrepression is an important pathway for the anti-inflammatory effects of glucocorticoids .[ 3] [ 4] Ostali nuklearni receptori , kao što su jetreni X receptor (LXR) i Peroksisom proliferator-aktivirani receptor (PPAR ) također ispoljavaju sposobnoat transrepresije drugih proteina.[ 5]
