Funkcija
Ovaj gen kodira molekulski šaperon koji je član kompleksa TRiC. Kompleks sastoji se od dva identična posložena prstena, od kojih svaki sadrži po osam različitih proteina. Nerazvijeni polipeptidi ulaze u središnju šupljinu kompleksa i savijaju se na način ovisan o ATP-u. Savija različite proteine, uključujući aktin i tubulin. Karakterizirane su alternativne transkripcijske varijante spajanja, koje kodiraju različite izoforme.[6]
