ФК Гоа в Общомедия

Футбол Клуб де Гоа (на английски: Football Club de Goa, известен и като ФК Гоа е индийски футболен отбор от Маргао, щата Гоа. Създанен е на 26 август 2014 г. с цел участие в Индийската Суперлига (ИСЛ). Собственици на отбора са бизнесмените Венугопал Дхоот, Шринивас Демпо и Датарадж Салгаокар и състезателя по крикет Вират Коли. Демпо и Салгаокар притежават и футболните отбори от И-Лигата Демпо и Салгаокар.

История

На 13 април 2014 г. Дхоот, Демпо и Салгаокар печелят наддаването за франчайз отбора, базиран в Маргао, а на 23 септември същата година към тях като съсобственик се присъединява и Коли. Собствениците отправят запитване до феновете за име на отбора, като любопитното е, че избраното измежду 1200 предложения ФК Гоа е предложено само от един човек, който получава награда в размер на 10000 индийски рупии (около 260 лева) и абонаментна карта за вип ложата.[1] Франчайзът получава разрешение да използва това име въпреки протестите от страна на друг тим, восещ името Футболен Клуб Гоа.[1] Сред другите предложения за име са Вива Гоа, Гоа Гладиейтърс, Бийч Бойс, Гоа Флейвърс, Гоа Долфинс и Гоа Юнайтед Бишъпс, като между последните две е трябвало да се избира, ако разрешението за ползване на ФК Гоа не бъде получено.[1][2] Проектът е официално стартиран на 26 август 2014 г., а на 20 септември е представен марковият играч – Робер Пирес. Всички индийски играчи на отбора идват под наем от СК Демпо.[2] На 10 октомври ФК Гоа става първият индийски спортен отбор, който стартира собствена клубна телевизия – ФК Гоа ТВ.[3] Дебютният мач на отбора е на 15 октомври, в който ФК Гоа пада от ФК Ченай с 1:2. Първият гол в историята на отбора е дело на Грегори Арнолен.
