NGC 3049, Yeni Ümumi Kataloqda qeydə alınmış qalaktika. Göy üzündə Şir bürcü istiqamətində yerləşir. SBab tipli qalaktikadır. Fransız astronomu Eduard Stefan tərəfindən 1882-ci ildə 80.01 sm (31.5 düymə) ölçülü reflektor vasitəsilə kəşf edilmişdir.[7]
