Velilla de Ebro ye un conceyu español de la Ribera Baxa del Ebro, provincia de Zaragoza, Aragón.

Xeografía

Tien una área de 59,61 km² con una población de 241 habitantes (INE, 2014) y una densidá de 4,04 hab/km².[2] Ta asitiáu a 52 Km. de Zaragoza a una altitú de 152 msnm.[3]

Historia

Nel 44 e.C. fundar nel términu municipal de velilla, sobre un pobláu íbero llamáu Kelse, la colonia romana Colonia Victrix Iulia Lepida, llamada asina n'honor al so fundador, Lépido. Nel 36 e.C. Lépido foi estremáu de los sos cargos políticu y desterrao y la colonia pasar a llamar Colonia Iulia Victrix Celsa.

El pueblu actual remontar al so pasáu árabe, onde dexó buelga nel trazáu de les cais y na ilesia parroquial.[3]

El 3 de xunu de 1931 fueron declaraes les ruines de Celsa Monumentu históricu-artísticu perteneciente a l'Ayalga Artística Nacional por aciu decretu.[4]
