El Senáu d'Alabama ye la Cámara Alta de la Llexislatura Estatal del Estáu d'Alabama, Estaos Xuníos.
Composición
Acordies con lo establecío na Constitución d'Alabama, el Senáu d'Alabama ta conformáu por 35 senadores estatales electos d'ente los distintos distritos eleutorales.[1] Ye requisitu pa ser senador ser mayor de 25 años, ciudadanu d'Alabama dende siquier 3 años previu a la eleición y residente del distritu que se va a representar. Los senadores asumen el so cargu a la medianueche del día de les eleiciones y en casu de vacante'l gobernador tien de convocar a eleiciones nel distritu. [2]
Presidencia
Como nel casu del gobiernu federal, el vicegobernador d'Alabama exerz como presidente del Senáu d'Alabama, anque namái vota en casu d'empate, fora de lo cual ye'l Presidente Pro tempore electu pol plenariu del Senáu quien cumple les funciones reales de presidencia.[3]
