En Botánica llámase pedúnculu, o pedicelo ([nota 1]) nel casu de les inflorescencies compuestes non capitulares (por casu nes Umbelliferae), al rabillo que sostién un capítulu o una inflorescencia unifloral y, darréu a la so fecundación, la so frutu. En dichu casu, ye entós un meru allongamientu del tarmu. [1]

Tien la estructura d'un tarmu y ye responsable de la sustentación y conducción de la cazumbre a les flores.
Raramente presenta ramificaciones o estructures d'orixe foliar, como bráctees.
Na so ausencia, les flores son llamaes sésiles o sentaes.
