Marguerite Clayton (12 d'abril de 1891, Ogden – 20 d'avientu de 1968, Los Angeles) foi una actriz cinematográfica d'Estaos Xuníos activa na dómina del cine mudu.

Biografía

El so verdaderu nome yera Margaret Fitzgerald, y nació n'Ogden, Utah. Debutó nel cine en 1913, a los 22 años d'edá, nel filme The Call of the Plains, un western, xéneru nel que trabayó de manera habitual.

A lo llargo de la so carrera, que s'estendió hasta 1928, rodó un total d'unes 180 producciones, en munches de les cuales tuvo la oportunidá de trabayar xunto a Broncho Billy Anderson y Harry Carey.

En 1920 foi protagonista d'un serial d'aventures rodáu en 20 episodios, Bride 13, que foi dirixíu por Richard Stanton.

Retirar del cine en 1928. La so última actuación na pantalla tuvo llugar en Inspiration, de Bernard McEveety, filme producíu por una pequeñu compañía independiente, Excellent Pictures.

Marguerite Clayton finó por causa de un accidente de tráficu en 1968 en Los Angeles, California, a los 77 años d'edá. Había estáu casada col Xeneral Mayor Victor Bertrandias, siendo soterrada al pie del so home nel Cementeriu Nacional d'Arlington.
