La temporada 1987-88 de la Lliga ACB tuvo llugar dende'l 26 de setiembre de 1987 hasta'l 24 de mayu de 1988, y foi la quinta temporada celebrada de la Lliga ACB. Nella participaron 16 equipos.[1]

El sistema de campeonatu yera'l mesmu que na temporada anterior, anque con una llixera variación na fase final. Na primer fase los equipos distribuyíen sobre la base de la so clasificación l'añu pasáu: impar y par. Na segunda, los cuatro meyores de cada grupu van al A-1 ente que los cuatro peores de cada grupu van al A-2. A los playoff clasifíquense los cuatro primeros del A-1, direutamente a cuartos de final, más los cuatro últimos del A-1 y los cuatro primeros del A-2 (ronda previa).

Este foi l'últimu añu nel que se caltuvo l'esquema inaugural de la ACB. Pa la siguiente campaña, la lliga sería ampliada a un total de 24 formaciones. Por ello, nun hubo descensos. Pa xubir, los dos meyores equipos en playoff de primera "B" aportaben de forma direuta, ente que los seis restante facer por aciu invitación de la lliga.[2]

El campeón de la Lliga ACB foi'l FC Barcelona, que venció por 3-2 nel parcial al Real Madrid.
