Fema (♀) ye'l sustantivu que designa a los individuos femeninos d'una especie (el so opuestu ye machu). En seres humanos y dependiendo'l contestu, referímonos a la fema como muyer.

Semeya d'una muyer o individuu adultu fema humanu (esquierda), y el de home machu (derecha).

Nes especies que presenten sexualidá estremada, los individuos fema van tener un gametu de mayor tamañu que'l del gametu d'un individuu machu. Amás, esti gametu nun suel tener capacidá de movese, y el númberu de gametos per individuu ye menor que nel casu d'un machu. Como xeneralidá, una fema va ser la encargada de portar, caltener y alimentar, siquier mientres un tiempu, a los embriones.

Según les distintes especies, les femes van poder tener una serie de calteres sexuales secundarios. La mayoría de les femes animales, como les femes humanes, tienen dos cromosomes X[1][2]. Les especies que presenten dambos sexos nun mesmu individuu pueden presentar una parte fema, que va contener el gametu respeutivu (por casu, una flor fema).
