María Isabel Granda y Larco (3 de setiembre de 1920, Cotabambas Auraria (es) Traducir – 8 de marzu de 1983, Miami), más conocida como Chabuca Granda, foi una cantautora y folclorista peruana. Creó y interpretó un gran númberu de valses criollos y ritmos afro-peruanos. El so tema más conocíu nel mundu ye La flor de la canela.

Biografía

Isabel "Chabuca " Granda nació'l 3 de setiembre de 1920, nun asentamientu mineru d'oru, llamáu Cotabambas Auraria en Progreso Grau Apurimac, cerca de la provincia d'Abancay, asitiada na rexón d'Apurímac. Esta artista peruana entama a cantar a los 12 años d'edá, y forma parte del coru del elitista Colegio Sophianum de Lima pola so voz de soprano. Una operación foi la causa de la voz grave cola que se dio a conocer. Formó parte del conxunto "Luz y Sombra" xunto con Soledad Mujica. El so trunfu personal como cantautora se entama depués del so divorciu, que foi vistu como un escándalu pa la sociedá limeña d'aquella dómina.
