Catherine Lara ((29 de mayu de 1945, Poissy) ye una violinista, compositora y cantante francesa.

Biografía

Catherine Baudet nació en Poissy, cerca de París, fía d'un médicu (y violinista aficionáu). Empezó a tocar el violín a los 11 años y entró nel conservatoriu de Versalles, saliendo del mesmu dos años dempués con una destacada participación en 1966.[4]

Lara tocó y compunxo pa cantantes famosos antes d'empezar a cantar como solista. El so primer álbum, Ad libitum, foi llanzáu en 1972. Dende'l so álbum de 1979 Coup d'feel, los sos cantares tán más influyíes pola música rock. L'álbum de 1983 La Rockeuse de Diamant apurrió un gran ésitu col senciellu "La Rockeuse de diamant", y un atrevíu cantar llamáu "Autonome", na que diz: "[Soi] llibre d'amar a una muyer o a un home". En 1986 tuvo un gran ésitu col senciellu "Nuit magique" escritu por Luc Plamondon, el so mayor ésitu que-y dio fama y fíxo-y ganar una Victoires de la Musique (Premios Grammy franceses) a la meyor cantante femenina del añu. Publicó la so autobiografía en 1987, L'Aventurière de l'archet perdu.[5]

En 2002 compunxo un cantar pa la seleición nacional de fútbol de Francia, cantada finalmente por Johnny Hallyday.[6]
