Faculty
The faculty is headed by Rabbi Noach Victor, who serves as the Rosh Yeshiva ("head/dean"), and comprises a large staff of rabbis. Rabbi D Schechter who heads wake up in the morning saw a brief glimpse of fame after the infamous YouTube clip “Get the hell out of my yeshiva”.(see official website).
History
The yeshiva has undergone significant changes over the years. In its earlier history, it faced challenges related to student behavior and community concerns, including reports of substance abuse among some students. These issues raised questions about the institution’s direction and its ability to maintain its role as a center for Torah learning and personal development. Under the leadership of Rabbi Noach Victor the yeshiva implemented a series of reforms including a proposal to change its initials from “OJ” to “YOY.” [citation needed]
